Summer is heating up—and so is your Salesforce potential. The Salesforce Summer ’25 Release has arrived, bringing a wave of fresh features designed to boost productivity, sharpen insights, and keep your Salesforce instance running at peak performance.
We’ve combed through the release and handpicked our top 5 favorite features that we think will make the biggest splash this season.
1. AI Agents for Service Cloud
Salesforce customers now have the capability to use Agentforce employee service templates, which include predefined topics and actions to support common employee activities. With the new self-service focus prebuilt configurations, employees can quickly execute actions such as viewing PTO balances and submitting PTO requests, accessing enablement programs, submitting expenses, and updating their employee profile for HR systems. This Agent is built to empower employees to reduce the steps and time to handle internal aspects of their role, empowering teams to spend more time connecting with customers and delivering value.
The Benefit: By implementing an internal Agentforce employee service, internal teams can save time finding, searching for, and submitting important information, all while not leaving the Salesforce platform.
2. Service Cloud Close Case Button
Service representatives can now quickly close cases with the new Close Case Button from the case details page. Before this release, which was also a top idea in the Trailblazer community, administrators previously had to create a custom Close Case Button. For service teams handling a high volume of cases with short open durations, this saves time enabling service representatives to reduce the clicks to close each case after the customer issue has been resolved.
The Benefit: Service teams experience high volumes of cases. With this new release, services teams can quickly use the new Close Case Button to close out the case and get started on the next customer inquiry.
3. Update Object Permissions for All Custom Permission Sets or Profiles in One Step
Save time keeping your Salesforce security model accurate with this new release, another top idea in the Trailblazer community. Salesforce administrators can now update all custom permissions and profiles simultaneously. Navigate to the object manager section in settings, where you will have all of the object permissions displayed in one component to easily make updates to your Salesforce security model.
The Benefit: Administrators save time with the new component to update all of the associated Profiles and Permission Sets security settings for the Salesforce users. Previously, updating security in this manner required updating each security setting individually. This feature unlocks the potential of optimizing organization security models fast, keeping your data safe and showing end users only the permissions they need.
4. Agentforce Prompt Builder Visual
Utilizing the intuitive step-by-step layout takes you through the entire journey of your Agent prompts. This visual provides you with a clear understanding of how the prompt is built, how data is integrated, and what the final response based on the LLM would be for the Agent.
The Benefit: The release of Agentforce prompt builder guides Salesforce administrators when building, testing, and deploying prompts to ensure the Agent is built efficiently. The agent can be reviewed during the build stage for tone, clarity, accuracy, and defining the LLM output.
5. Conversation Transcript Flow Action for Einstein Conversation Insights
Assist sales teams with getting the most out of conversations with customers by creating flows for meeting transcripts. With this feature, Einstein Conversations Insights can be used to automate record updates, generate team recaps, and schedule post-call coaching or follow-ups based on the outcomes of the call.
The Benefit: By leveraging Einstein Conversation Insights from Salesforce, all of the actions sales teams typically take after a meeting can be automated, creating alignment on next steps and reducing communication with both the customer and internally for every sales cycle.
