Salesforce Spring '26 Release
8:13

Spring is a season of growth, and the Salesforce Spring ’26 Release delivers fresh updates to help your Salesforce org flourish. From Einstein Conversation Insights to Service AI Grounding, these enhancements are designed to streamline your workflows, unlock new insights, and help your team work smarter as the year moves forward.

We’ve done the heavy lifting and sifted through the release notes to bring you our top 5 favorite features you’ll want to explore this season.

1.  Einstein Conversation Insights

What's New: Salesforce has expanded Einstein Conversation Insights with Generative ECI, bundling call summaries and generative conversation insights into a single feature that works across both voice and video calls and is automatically enabled for orgs using generative AI. Spring ’26 also introduces Vendor Transcript Processing for faster call transcription, Opportunity Closing Recaps powered by generative AI, native storage of ECI data on the Salesforce Platform, improved participant matching for Microsoft Teams video calls, and the ability to use Gong call transcripts across Salesforce AI and out-of-the-box agents.

The Benefit: Together, these enhancements transform sales conversations into scalable, actionable intelligence by reducing manual notetaking, accelerating access to insights, and improving data accuracy. Sales leaders gain clearer visibility into why deals are won or lost, managers can coach more effectively with timely insights, and teams can fully leverage existing conversation data—ultimately driving better decision-making, higher productivity, and improved sales performance.

2.  Service AI Grounding

What's New: Salesforce Einstein now includes enhanced grounding capabilities that use specific Service Cloud data (such as Cases, Case Comments, and Knowledge articles) to generate more accurate, context-aware responses. These grounded AI replies surface directly within the Lightning Experience, where agents can quickly review, edit, and send them during live chats. Admins have greater control through setup options that allow them to enable grounding, choose relevant data fields (like Title or Summary), and define trusted knowledge sources. All data retrieval stays securely within the Salesforce tenant and respects existing user permissions. This functionality is generally available in Unlimited Edition with Service Cloud Einstein and the Einstein GPT for Service add-on.

The Benefit: These enhancements help agents respond faster and more accurately by grounding AI-generated content in real, relevant Salesforce data. By embedding responses directly into agent workflows, teams can reduce manual effort while maintaining control over messaging quality. Admin-configurable settings improve precision and trust, ensuring AI outputs align with business data and security requirements. Overall, this leads to improved agent productivity, more consistent customer interactions, and a better support experience without compromising data security.

3.  Screen and Component Styling

What's New: This update introduces enhanced styling capabilities for Flow screens, allowing admins and builders to fully customize the look and feel of their user experiences. You can now apply screen-level styling—such as background colors, borders, and radii—while also overriding styles at the component level for elements like text, number, date, and picklist fields. Navigation buttons (Next, Previous, Pause) are also customizable, including hover and active states, making it easier to design polished, on-brand flows without relying on custom code.

The Benefit: These improvements make flows more visually consistent, easier to read, and better aligned with corporate branding standards. By reducing the need for custom Lightning Web Components, teams can save development time and minimize maintenance overhead. The result is faster flow creation, improved usability for end users, and more professional-looking interfaces that enhance overall adoption and efficiency.

4.  Salesforce Shield - Data Detect

What's New: Salesforce Spring ’26 introduces major enhancements to Data Detect, now delivered as a native capability within the new Shield Home app for a more unified security experience. The updated built-in engine replaces the older managed package, offering faster and more scalable data scans. Detection capabilities have expanded significantly, with 21 predefined sensitive data categories (up from five) and support for up to 10 custom patterns. Admins can now scan entire objects instead of selecting individual fields, receive email notifications when scans complete, and manage everything centrally. Support for the legacy Data Detect managed package ends on February 1, 2026, making this native version the required path forward.

The Benefit: These enhancements simplify and strengthen data security by making sensitive data discovery faster, more comprehensive, and easier to manage. Centralizing Data Detect within Shield Home reduces administrative overhead while improving visibility across encryption, monitoring, and detection tools. Expanded detection options help organizations better meet compliance and privacy requirements, while object-level scanning and notifications save time and improve operational efficiency. Overall, customers gain a more scalable, future-ready approach to protecting sensitive data without relying on legacy packages.

5.  Security Health Check Feature

What's New: Spring ’26 delivers several security enhancements, including proactive Health Check monitoring that automatically alerts admins when security scores change. The update adds deeper visibility into MFA adoption and sample session risks, helping teams better understand their security posture. Salesforce also introduces a unified Shield app that centralizes key security tools—Data Detect, Field Audit Trail, Platform Encryption, and Event Monitoring—into a single experience. Additionally, Salesforce is phasing out the creation of traditional Connected Apps in favor of more secure External Client Apps, and launching Agentforce in Setup (beta), which allows admins to find and resolve security settings using natural language.

The Benefit: These updates help organizations detect and respond to security risks more quickly while simplifying day-to-day administration. Automated alerts and richer insights reduce the need for manual monitoring, enabling faster remediation. Centralizing Shield capabilities improves efficiency and visibility across security tools, while the move to External Client Apps strengthens integration security. Agentforce further accelerates setup and troubleshooting, saving admin time and making it easier to maintain a strong, compliant security posture.
